Our Artist Collaboration Series: Marina Solodka
This weekend, Saturday March 19, 2022, we are releasing our newest Artist Collaboration Collection, featuring the work of illustrator Marina Solodka. At Kinder, we are passionate about supporting artists and are excited to share this new collection with our community.
Marina is an illustrator and surface designer based in Ukraine, working with clients around the world. Her mission is to create modern vibrant prints and bright-eyed patterns for fabric, textile, bedding, homewares, kids apparel.
We first spoke with Marina last fall about licensing this whimsical Ocean Friends collection and are thrilled to finally be able to share it with our community. This playful and bold marine life collection features three prints: Jellies, Octopus and Ocean Friends.
Marina's collection will be available on diapers, pods, a small wet bag, change mats, and a large 4.5 foot square play mat.
We would be remiss if we did not acknowledge the war happening right now in Marina's home country of Ukraine. One of our core values at Kinder is community. Much has changed in the world since we first partnered with Marina for this collection last fall. Together, with Marina's guidance we have selected an organization local to her, Humanitarian and Medical Aid to Ukraine, to support in conjunction with her first Kinder collection release.
Kinder has committed an initial $2,000 USD donation and will contribute an additional $1,000 if our Kinder community can match our initial $2,000 donation. With our community's support, we hope to give $5,000 or more to HelpUkraine.Center in honor of Marina's collection.
We've loved working with Marina so much — we already have more of her playful prints lined up for this summer. Stay tuned!
